A Girl's Best Friend

I finally started working on the Marilyn sweater this Saturday. I know what the girls over at You Knit What said but I already bought the expensive yarn and have to do it. I may enlist the help of Jess B or the other Emily S to help me rework the collar - I'm thinking a cowl may be more flattering for those of us that can't see their toes.

Progress as of Sunday night? Two sleeves and a cable swatch as I've never knit any cables before.

Just so that no one things that Reba is crazy, there was a comment here earlier from a stupid blog spammer that said, great blog (blah, blah, blah) by the way, do you want to work from home? I smote it.

e to the m, I'd love to work with you on restyling the collar on the marylin sweater, because the one in the pattern has turned my otherwise wonderful sweater into useless closet fodder.

Exellent. I have a couple of ideas but what I'd like to do first is try on the sweater you already made.

Go Emily Stoneking! Get those blog spammers out of here!
Em, I don't care what You Knit What?! says about the Marilyn sweater it is much nicer than most of the other stuff they post so why complain about it? Once you have tweeked the neck to a design that works for you it will look great. I have some books that tell you how to modify patterns and will let you borrow them!
